Career CG-1 SG (Strat copy) Reviews 3

I boutght this guitar in Hamburg, Germany. It costed 500DM (as far as I remember). It is my first guitar, and I am satisfied with it, although I had problems with it. Pretty good choice for kids for learning.

It looks like a strato, with three single-coil pickups and a 5-way switch. Nothing special. It just looks good. I upgraded it with a DiMarzio FastTrack II. Now it sounds even better. It stays in tune (if I don't use the whammy bar).

Well, I can't use the whammy bar because it goes out of tune very easily. Too bad. If I bend the high E string at the 12th fret, it sounds really fucked up. It just mutes, and I don't know why. It always pisses me off.

Its construction is pretty good, except for the screws. They seem to be going rusty or something. There is white dust on it. I cant figure out what it is. (It might be my fault. It might need more cleaning :o))

A good guitar for starters, who never saw guitar before. You can learn the basic tricks on it, and sounds good enough for punk-rock gigs. After 2 years of hard working on it, I think it is high time to buy a better one.
